Tolstoy said, "Love all nature...love every leaf." In nature, I find an endless variety of images of arresting loveliness...and in those, a sense of the sacred. In each piece of my work, I ask the viewer to feel with me a sense of awe.
My work itself is ever-evolving, and has been ever since the day I first picked up a needle at age 7. I currently work as a lawyer/journalist, but my heart is in my art quilting.
My fiber art work includes pima cotton fabric painted with Pebeo Setacolor paints and embellished with Shiva paintsticks. My techniques also include hand embroidery, machine quilting, felting, padded applique, and knitted figures.
